Herefordshire Policing Team Continues with its Excellent Work

At its recent meeting in Hereford, the Herefordshire Policing Board received a full report on the performance of the Herefordshire Territorial Policing Unit by Superintendent Charlie Hill.

Supt. Hill reported that the Summer had been a busy period with the 'Summer Presence' campaign to reduce alcohol related incidents, the Big Chill event, the 'Open Day' at the Police Station involving all of the key local stakeholders and partners, the successes of local Officers at the West Mercia Police Quality People Awards evening and the support given to other forces regarding the summer disorder.

Mr Paul Deneen OBE DL who chairs the Herefordshire Policing Board congratulated and praised the work undertaken by Superintendent Charlie Hill, his senior staff and the team of Police Officers, Police Staff and volunteers regarding the excellent performance figures for Herefordshire, and for policing of all of the local communities.

Paul Deneen said " The mission statement for West Mercia Police of 'Serving - Protecting - Making the Difference' has clearly been evident throughout the summer period and the Policing Board would wish to thank all of those involved, who continue to make Herefordshire a safe place to live, work, study and visit. In addition, we will also look forward to welcoming the new Chief Constable David Shaw when he comes to Hereford to meet with Herefordshire Council, Councillors and members of the community in November."

The Herefordshire Policing Board, which is made up of West Mercia Police Authority members Paul Deneen OBE DL, Peter Dunford and Councillor Sebastian Bowen, meets regularly with Herefordshire’s Territorial Commander, Superintendent Charlie Hill, to monitor policing locally.
